Gov. Gavin Newsom delivers an update on California’s response to the COVID-19
Gov. Gavin Newsom delivers an update on California’s response to the COVID-19 outbreak as California begins to enter ‘into the next phase this week.’ Newsom announced yesterday that California will be moving to ease some restrictions by as early as Friday and allow some retail businesses to reopen. These selected businesses, including book stores, toy stores, sporting goods stores, and florists, must obey social distancing guidelines while operating and will be delivering orders for curbside pick up. Newsom added that part of this next phase in California will be allowing local governments to determine how best to reopen their communities, though all plans must be approved by the state government.
