In US news and current event today, church leaders and clergy in partnership with Sojourners Magazine spoke to NowThis News about politicians using Jesus’ name while putting hateful policies in place. While the church elders don’t call out Republicans, conservatives, or the Donald Trump administration by name, they speak out against white nationalism, racism, misogyny, the abuse of women, the mistreatment of immigrants, refugees, low-incomie families, as well as xenophobia and ‘America first’ nationalism.
