Hurricane Ida: “We’ve got a long way to go” says Louisiana Governor after surveying damage | FULL

Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards is holding a media briefing on Saturday following a Hurricane Ida damage tour in the parishes of St. Tammany, St. Helena and Livingston.

Ida was the fifth most powerful storm to strike the U.S. when it hit Louisiana on Sunday with maximum winds of 150 mph (240kph), that killed at least 46 people.

On Friday, U.S. President Joe Biden toured the region and promised $100 million in relief aid to residents of Louisiana that includes $500 to each person.
