USA: Biden pledges full support to states in virtual COVID meeting with governors

United States President Joe Biden pledged to fully support US states dealing with a surge in COVID-19 cases due to the Omicron variant during a virtual meeting with the governors in Washington DC on Monday.

“If you need something, say something and we, we’re going to have your back in any way we can,” Biden told the meeting with his coronavirus response team and the National Governors Association.

Following Biden’s address to the governors, White House COVID coordinator Jeff Zients asked the press members to leave the room before governors could pose their answers to the President.

Last week, the US President praised Americans who got the vaccine, urging unvaccinated Americans to get their dose.
